Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection #174 Archer’s Toy Ship

To become a captain, you need to practice from an early age! This remote-controlled Archer’s Toy Ship from our Star Trek Starship Collection was perfect for that.

Archer’s Toy Ship was a type of 22nd-century toy model that could be flown by remote control. Captain Archer built this model together with his father as a child and passed to Sim as an adult. This model was damaged multiple times by Sim and Archer himself, but the damage was “nothing a little glue won’t remedy”.

This Archer’s Toy Ship has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and high-quality ABS materials then hand painted with an incredible level of detail using the CGI model of the ship from Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Similitude”. It has a flat triangular shape with two nacelles on both sides of the ship.

Inside the magazine is an in-depth profile of the Archer’s Toy Ship, how the model was created and behind the scenes of the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Similitude”.
