Pellegrino was born in New York City, and went to Long Island University. He has written on various scientific and archaeological subjects, including the wreck of the Titanic, the location of Biblical Sodom, and what he claims is the tomb of Jesus Christ. His writings on these subjects are somewhat controversial, especially his book on the Hiroshima bombing and his claims about Jesus.
