Art by Robert Doremus, edited by Burton Marks, Kirk and Spock cover. Burton Marks was assigned the task of editing the 1967 Star Trek: A Book to Color into two books (#C1856 and #C1862) using stock pictures of clowns, monkeys, and other creatures as filler. Contains two stories: 1) The Enterprise responds to an emergency on Circo where strange sunflower-like plants have attacked and put everyone to sleep. Kirk and Spock spray the plants with chemicals and save the day. 2) An epidemic on Earth destroys many animals so the Enterprise brings replacements from other planets. A monkey escapes and must be lured back with a banana.
