“Eaglemoss Graphic Novel Collection #2: Harlan Ellison’s The City On The Edge of Forever: The Original Teleplay” Review by Myconfinedspace.com

Myconfinedspace.com has added a new review for ‘s “Eaglemoss Graphic Novel Collection #2: Harlan Ellison’s The City On The Edge of Forever: The Original Teleplay”:

I was unaware of how different the original script was, and judging from Harlan Ellison’s introduction to the book, I can see why he was so consistently unhappy with the story that eventually made it’s way to television. Stories change for TV, we all know that the original script never makes it through the process without being effected by it, but the extent that this story changed is remarkable. Just as remarkable though, is that I’m able to see where it went and why it went there, this original version has only Kirk and Spock in it without any mention of McCoy, then on the planet’s surface this original story has actual Guardians that are walking around and doing things. The broad strokes are still there, time travel, love, death, and tragedy, it’s still a great story with art work that really works.
