Russell Hany was born and raised in Normal, Illinois. That was where he developed much his sense of humor watching the ABCs of movies: Animal House, Blues Brothers, and Caddyshack. That sense of humor persists in his feeling that day-to-day life must be looked at with a smile on your face. He has written books such as “What is it about Star Trek?” and “Cards by the Numbers.” He is a devoted armchair quarterback, loves playing cards, and actually goes outside to golf and play volleyball.
